Bon Accord Glass Races To Sponsor Half Marathon
Next year’s ‘Run Garioch’ Half Marathon will have a brand new sponsor for its tenth anniversary – Bon Accord Glass.
Taking place on Sunday 29th March 2020, the annual Half Marathon is one of a series of running events taking place on the day, along with 5K and 10K races, and a Junior Run.
Thousands of people are expected to line-up at the start line at Garioch Sports Centre in Inverurie for the scenic Half Marathon, where runners will get a beautiful scenic view of Bennachie as they frantically pump their arms and legs throughout the route.
Last year, more than 3,200 participants took part, and the event organisers are anticipating a complete sell-out by the time race day arrives, as is the case every year.
Much of the money raised from the event goes to the Garioch Sports Trust, a registered Scottish charity, which has been proudly providing sports and leisure facilities to the local community since 1996.
There are also five official charity partners for the newly renamed ‘Bon Accord Glass Half Marathon’:

- Friends of the Neonatal Unit and Chest
- Heart & Stroke Scotland.
