EXPLORE OUR ORIGIN DOORS

The Origin Aluminium Door range has something for everyone and every style of Scottish home with a definitive collection of traditional and modern Front Doors, French Doors, Bi-Folding Doors, Internal Doors, Sliding Doors, and Corner Doors.

The Origin Bi-Folding Door will take your breath away.

Two categories of Bi-Folding Door have been developed by the team at Origin: the OB-49 and OB-72. They are both an incredible feat of British engineering, opening and closing so beautifully and easily. When fully extended open, not one bit of their design disturbs or spoils your view.

One is thicker than the other, which is their main point of difference – the OB-49’s frame is 110mm compared to the OB-72’s frame of 154mm – this is how both products have such incredibly slim sightlines. An Origin Bi-Folding Door is incomparable to any other Bi-Folding Door as it functions more elegantly, looks more elegant and feels more elegant. It also comes with greater cover, a superb mix of colours, and massively outperforms competing doors.

Origin Bi-Folding Doors
Remove one corner with a Corner Bi-Folding Door…

Origin has made the seemingly impossible, possible with their game-changing Corner Bi-Folding Door. It can be integrated into a corner with a right-angle vista without any hassle and when done so, it transforms the relevant space beyond all recognition and creates a panoramic view that you could never have imagined getting.

But do you have a corner post or not? If the steel above the door is capable of being cantilevered far enough back, past the beginning of the corner, the corner post can float with its interconnecting door leaf, leaving you with a corner with an undisturbed view.

Origin Corner Doors
Origin’s take on a classic double opening door…

The French door was originally developed in France in the 17th century, during the time of the Renaissance, and it hasn’t lost any of its appeal. The clever people at Origin have developed a faithful contemporary update of a classic French door, which no family home should be without. Open the single slave door and you can be amongst nature in seconds, and on the finest of days, open the second door to bring even more of the outdoors indoors.

An Origin French door is a stellar recreation and enhancement of a quintessential favourite, possessing a stunning powder-coated aluminium colour.

Origin French Doors
Give your home some unmistakable Origin personality…

Your front door and back door need to have the resilience to come out on top against thieves and boast sufficient beauty so that they paint your home in a good light.

Origin doors have the necessary ingredients and will protect you to the hilt. We take tremendous pleasure in installing Origin doors and love to leave it to our customers to customise their design. The manufacturing turnaround will be quick, and our installation process will be just as fast.

Origin Front Doors
No home should be without a sleek sliding door…

Origin outdid themselves when they produced their gorgeous Sliding Door, right up there as one of the market’s slimmest Sliding Doors. The glass expanses in the product are huge and so, therefore, is the view it offers.

There are two separate sliding door systems from Origin, the Origin Artisan Slider, and Origin Patio Slider, with four available sightlines between them. The OS-20 Artisan Sliding Door takes top spot for slenderness at just 20mm, while the thickest is the OS-77 at a still very trim 77mm.

Origin Sliding Doors
Add a sleek, modern dividing Internal Door…

Origin’s Internal Doors can have a door frame that matches your furniture and your individual style preferences. They can cope with frequent usage and the flurry of activity that goes on within most family homes. In unison with Origin’s external windows and doors, the Origin 01-30 Internal Door system also has a solid powder-coated finish.

This finish is scratch-resistant and won’t fall victim to any kind of knocks or scrapes, resolutely keeping its look. You can divide any space with an Origin Internal Door.

Origin Internal Doors
All Origin doors are attentively customised…

An Origin Door at your home will earn so much acclaim and elevate its status. How the finished door looks is completely down to you. Tailor as much of an Origin door as you feel you need to, even the most intricate details.

Tell us what size and configuration of door you want, what colour (it’s possible to have a dual colour with most of their products if you want a colour contrast on both sides of the door frame), and the type of hardware you would prefer.

FEATURES OF ORIGIN DOORS

The choice of door material is one of the biggest things to think about when buying a new door. Origin uses aluminium to manufacture all its doors and does so because of how strong and secure it is, how easy it is to shape to create slender sightlines, and its endless catalogue of RAL colours.

Your safety is Origin’s priority…

Origin’s unwaveringly high manufacturing, engineering and design standards ensure you have a door that will keep you firmly protected at home. A specially designed multi-point lock can be requested for its Residential, Bi-Fold, Corner Bi-Fold, French and Back door categories.

This locking system contains 8 points and there will be no getting past it. Issued with the Secured by Design accreditation, Origin’s doors are also PAS:24 2016 compliant.

Origin Doors Security
Unfailingly reliable thermal control…

With Origin, you can forget about being troubled by draughts in your home. Their in-house Research and Development team have found a solution by designing their doors to include thermal polyamide breaks, which limit heat transference from one side of their doors to the other. Trailblazing weathertight seals are also incorporated to keep you well-protected against the elements.

Origin windows and doors are superb at shutting out excess heat in summer and retaining heat in winter when you need it most, making them a year-round performer. They offer thermal efficiency that’s comfortably above Building Regulation requirements. Your reward for all this will be a cheaper energy bill.

Thermal Origin Windows
Do away with the chore of door maintenance…

There’s no complicated or time-consuming maintenance necessary to keep an Origin door looking stylish, and no timber door or UPVC door comes close to competing with Origin’s aluminium designs. For example, the alignment of a timber or UPVC door tends to alter over time and then must be adjusted, whereas an Origin high-grade aluminium door promises to always retain its shape.

You could get decades of quality performance out of an Origin door – it really is that good! The coloured finish doesn’t require any repainting or maintenance either, so you can leave it alone and rely on it to do exactly what you expect it to.

Origin Doors
Simplify access through an Origin door…

Three styles of threshold are available with Origin’s single and twin French style front doors; weathered, non-weathered and a mobility threshold. The weathered threshold succeeds at establishing a weatherproof barrier against the elements, sealing against an upstand lip of only 10mm.

For most installations, the threshold can be sunk into the ground, reducing any trip hazard and shielding you against the outdoor climate. A non-weathered threshold could be a good solution for an internal secondary door that’s not severe weather rated.

It is possible in most installations to sink this threshold into the ground, minimising trip hazards while also ensuring halls are not cold and draughty. For an internal secondary front door that’s not severe weather rated, a non-weathered threshold could be a good option. The not severe weather rated Origin mobility threshold is just 20mm high, ideal if you need simple wheelchair access or use a walking aid.

Origin Doors
The most fabulous finishes and effects…

If you think Origin’s door collection is varied, just wait until you see the colour palette for their door products. There are over 150 RAL colours to consider, with all colours of the spectrum covered. You’ve got black, white, metallic, and pastel shades as possible options, but if they don’t meet with your approval, something else will.

Here are just a few of some of the most chosen colours.

More than just a handle…

For a non-entry point door, you could omit having an external handle to maximise security, but other than that, you’ll want to furnish the design with a smart, functional handle.

All Handles, D-Handles and Slave Handles are available in several styles, colours, and finishes. At the time of ordering a Bi-Folding Door, inform us if you would like it in Solid Stainless Steel. Silver is a popular colour choice for contemporary residences, with Gold and Black well-liked for older houses. Householders with young children would be wise to select a Stainless-Steel handle because it’s easy-clean and super-resilient.

The hardware is a linchpin of any door…

Origin’s stylish and distinctive array of premium handles are sprung loaded and can offer you a lifetime of performance. If you want an Art Deco-type door or vintage style, feast your eyes on the Heritage collection. As for the Contemporary handle collection, that is more aimed at buyers wanting a modern, neat, and fuss-free aesthetic. Choose from the following:

The Signature Collection – Seriously charming and resourceful, this is the crown jewel of our handle collection.

The Contemporary Collection – There’s zero hassle with this beautifully tailored troupe of handles.

The Heritage Collection – Particularly good for Art Deco and heritage-inspired doors.
