WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
To start the process, a Bon Accord Glass surveyor will visit your home, take measurements and check through all the specific design details. This is done to collect the exact dimensions for manufacture and ensure that the planed build is suitable to proceed. If any changes are required, they can be discussed at this stage.
If planning permission is required, the surveyor will also gather the necessary drawings and details needed for the application.
PLANNING & BUILDING REGS
Your surveyor will complete the planning application and submit it, along with supporting documentation, to your local council.
The time it takes for the application to be processed can vary. It can take anywhere up to two months to for NCS approval and a bit longer for Full Householder Planning Permission. As soon as we get an answer, we’ll contact you and outline the next steps.
SCHEDULE OF WORKS
With everything ready to go, we’ll assign a schedule of works that outlines what is going to be done and when. We will project manage the entire build, coordinating all the relevant building and installation teams on your behalf.
Also, ahead of time, we’ll discuss any need to gain access to power and water supplies, so you always know what’s required.
BUILDING & INSTALLATION
Prior to the building work commence, we’ll go through brick matching with you. After the brickwork is laid and the building work completed, your frames and/or roof will then be installed.
Remember, during the entire process we’ll be managing everybody involved with the building work. All you need to do is sit back and relax, knowing full well that we’re in control.
FINISHING
Once your living space has been installed, we’ll check through everything with you to ensure that you’re completely satisfied. We’ll also go through and rectify any final snagging.
