Aspiring orangery owners have their own personal tastes – some prefer an atrium roof to a standard roofing system and vice versa. In this example, the atrium roof won out and it has proved to be a sparkling addition to a wonderfully stylish orangery. Just look at how much natural light penetrates the space and the credit for that goes to the roof as much as the windows. Once the sun sets, downlighters installed in the internal pelmet help to illuminate the interior so that orangery usage can go on long into the night.
It was no surprise that with such an immaculately kept garden that the occupants wanted to create some sort of connection between the orangery and the outdoors. Folding sliding doors were the obvious solution as they fold and slide with ease and generate a generous gap when pushed to the end of their track. French doors were also implemented into the design to make a similarly stylish escape into the house possible. A dual set of copper wall lanterns sit tight to the wall on the outside of the orangery to shine a light on the structure and continue to make it the focal point of the property after dark.
